Achievements Earned In:
Yeah, Paradise Killer continued to be awesome throughout the week, and a very chill completion. It’s always nice to find a game with a list that can be completed without the need of guides. You quickly earn an ability to see any collectibles or secrets on the island, though things like evidence for the case aren’t highlighted. And since the outcome of the trial can’t really be “incorrect”, the completion becomes all about just taking your time, grabbing all the collectibles, talking to the remaining residents of the island (and some ghosts), and then starting the trial (and the point-of-no-return for some of the achievements) before getting the final achievement. Outside of that, you can interact with and dive into the background of everything as much or as little as you want. Really, it’s a near-perfect example of what I want out of an achievement list! My only complaint is there are no online achievements… There is a speedrun achievement, which is the closest you’ll need to having actual skill in this game, but if you just bolt through the opening of the game it shouldn’t be too tough. Well, I definitely suggest everyone give this a shot before it leaves Game Pass, or just buy it outright, as it’s totally worth it.

It was back to the backlog for Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords for the rest of the week. I’d already completed the sequel back in 2010, and the Marvel-branded spin-off in 2019, so I knew what to expect. I started digging in and working my way through the campaign, just grabbing every quest I could and completing them as I went. It’s a very straightforward completion, so I’m not worried about it and just watching TV while I play. I’m getting near the end of the game, and accidentally stumbled into the add-on and got most of that done, too. Just want to get this out of my waiting collection.
