Most of my week was spent slowly following videos of people completing the Opus Magnum puzzles. This varied in ease, as some content creators (shoutout to Superluminal Lag) would show their whole operation before showing the machine work, while others would only proceed to the latter and it was up to me to slowly parse the directions they used by watching the solutions at 0.25x speed. If I had to figure it out myself, I tended to look for “lowest cost” solutions so I only had to keep track of a single arm’s actions. That’s more or less all I did for the puzzle solutions; nothing really of not. But I also had to do my Sigmar’s Garden games, which was far more mindless and I’d work my way through the needed 100 wins while watching TV. A neat game that I’m glad I was able to play, and since it wasn’t very demanding on my laptop I was able to stream it, too! Main reason I don’t do many PC games…

Jumped in and defeated Mizuchi quickly in NeoGeo Battle Coliseum on Monday to keep my streak going while I worked on my alchemy. I just had to beat the Story Mode without using more than 3 D-Assaults which… since I don’t know how to do them anyway, easy peasy!

Ugh, my efforts to complete all of Disney Dreamlight Valley at once get worse and worse the longer this goes on! I’ll admit, I drank a fair bit Tuesday night, got my achievement for the day in Opus Magnum, then passed out while playing this. I woke up in a panic just after midnight, realized my streak was safe, and then started clearing my Eternity Isle tasks I’d completed… except in my stupor I didn’t go to the bottom of the list (where they are) and instead accidentally cleared yet ANOTHER task-in-waiting for the base game and unlocked my achievement for mining 1800 times. DANG IT. I’m so, so close to clearing out my last two tasks for the full list of achievements to be unlocked, except now instead of the whole 100% at once I’m only unlocking 12/15 of the achievements. Blah…

I found Mirabel. I’d say she’s the worst, but we have a few murderers and attempted murderers living in the village…
Back to my backlog, and more specifically the games I started for the Genre Bingo event over on TA back in August. I wanted to work on a longer game, so Halo Wars seemed like a good next game. I was a little worried about it, because RTS games can be pretty frustrating at times, but so far that was definitely unnecessary. I’m skating through the campaign easy enough (granted I’m playing on Easy) and I have my alt account sitting in with me so I can get the achievement for completing it in co-op. I’m also grabbing the Skull and level-specific achievement in each mission as I proceed, so I should have most everything done by the time I reach the end. I’m surprised!

Speaking of events, the 12 Days of Christmas event is currently running on TrueAchievements. The first day was actually another Genre Bingo thing, so instead of starting a new game and with the achievements I’d already gotten throughout the week, I could get one in Race Pro on Friday for a daub and only need one more. This game is SO boring. It’s just a very basic and dry simulation racer, so you can’t even drift or anything. You just slowly drive around a course while staying out in front of the other racers. And, apparently, it’s a drag to complete. Can’t wait.

The other daub I needed for that Day 1 challenge I could obtain using LEGO Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues, so I quickly ran through the levels I had available until an achievement unlocked. This is a LEGO game; even if I’d played a bunch, unlikely I’d have much to say.
