I log on daily (when I remember to) to Brothers in Arms: Hell’s Highway to clock another day on my way to logging in for 100 days total. But this week I hit three months’ worth, and once a week consecutively. Of the Bingo games I’ve started, I think this is one of the ones I’m most excited to get back to. I’ve heard good things!

Did my best to really jump back into The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 this week, and it’ll be my target to knock out next. But, it’s SUCH a slog. I’m following the step-by-step guide on TrueAchievements so it’s requiring very little in the way of actual focus. Thank goodness, so I can watch TV and zone out while making the necessary choices. There are a few sections that require some level of skill for particular achievements (like successfully drunk boxing a mercenary), or luck (like beating a pirate in a dice game). The rest is following the instructions in the walkthrough and be done with this bore of a game (again).

Why is everyone fat-shaming the thin elf princess in this game?!
There’s nothing more annoying than misinformation when it comes to unlocking achievements, and that happened with Hokko Life as I tried to wrap it up on Sunday. I managed to quickly finish off the final fishing tournament and challenge I had to do, and a couple miscellaneous achievements. What tripped me up is unlocking the farm, and therefore the achievements related to it. I had to do multiple tasks to have the needed resident to visit the town. It took a little extra time, but something finally worked and they showed up at the inn. That wasn’t too bad, but what was worse was unlocking the farm expansion, and for that the TA guide and many other top sources on the internet said I needed to complete a bunch of the food-related villager requests. But, after taking a long time to finish ten, I still hadn’t unlocked the expansion. With time running out, I really dug into the comments on the achievement in forums and such. Turns out, all you have to do is harvest 200 crops. That’s it. Since I was rich, had a weather control device, and could skip time I quickly bought and planted enough seeds to fulfill that requirement. With some summoned rain and fast-forwarding it took only about 20 minutes and I had my final achievement. The game was short and fun! Glad I got to this while it was free.

Didn’t really do anything in State of Decay this week. Just jumped in on Friday before heading out for the night to finally die from the zombies, getting me that achievement. I’ll probably return to this and the final DLC after finishing Book of Unwritten Tales.
