Continuing on from last week, it was all about wrapping up Nexomon. I found myself in the endgame pretty quickly on Sunday, knocked out the embodiment of fire and lightning, then wrecked the end boss. Seriously, this game is pretty easy. The game throws a curveball in the post-game, where you have to Rebirth your team to enter the underworld, resetting them all to level 5. I decided to put my strongest Nexomon, Raamu, back in the box, reset the rest of my team, grabbed Raamu again, then took the low-levels to the last area of the main game and power-leveled them back up to level 40. After resetting Raamu too it was off into the underworld, but it’s a pretty short area and with my power-leveled team it didn’t take long to take out the Wardens. The last part of the completion is the most tedious: you have to scour the world and find phantoms of the Wardens. There are ten for each of the six elemental Wardens and then five for Zeigler. It’s just tedious, and the first time the fights are actually kinda tough. But with them all done, the achievement for collecting all 310 Nexomon popped as I defeated the final Zeigler phantom, adding it to my collection. Overall, it really wasn’t that bad of a completion.

The next game I wanted to complete before it left Game Pass was Twelve Minutes, the story-driven game starring James McAvoy, Daisy Ridley, and Willem freaking Dafoe as three characters stuck in a timeloop. The goal of the game is to break the cycle by using information from each 12-minute loop to progress to the next story beat. I can’t really go into what the story entails, because, who boy, spoilers. But achievement-wise the game does have some missable achievements and following a guide is the best way to efficiently get the completion. I actually did something I usually don’t do and played a bit just to experience the story without spoilers on Sunday. It wasn’t until I returned the following day that I followed the walkthrough on TrueAchievements and quickly knocked the game out.

I decided it was finally time to get through Demetrios - The BIG Cynical Adventure, and with a guide it does not take long at all. I found myself still in the middle of Chapter 2, but there are only six chapters total and they aren’t very long. It’s a pretty basic point-and-click adventure title, but just with a weird art style and so much juvenile humor. They even use some decidedly not-PC language. Wasn’t very funny, even, but it is what it is. I had to stretch it out through the week after the missus ended up in the hospital again, but her ICU room had a 5G data connection so I could access console streaming and wrap this up on Saturday.
