Didn’t play much of Demetrios - The BIG Cynical Adventure this week. I had been using it to extend my streak while I worked on Spellbreak, but soon started up other games to play for various reasons. I'm planning on returning to this shortly the next week and knock it out.

I’ve wanted to play Escape Academy with TommyToday since it was revealed to be coming to Game Pass, and this week I finally got a chance. She decided to play through it beforehand, which made the game quicker overall, but really it's not that long regardless. I've only done a single IRL escape room before (also with TommyToday) and not only was it the hardest one they had but we also beat it in record time AND skipped a puzzle. So, not to brag, we're pretty good at this. Even with her helping minimally, the puzzles are all very simple if you have the mind for such things and the entire game can be knocked out in a couple hours. We did have to go back with a guide for a few achievements that require a little more finesse, like solving a rotation puzzle in only a few moves. The game is definitely fun but has zero replay value; the puzzles are not randomized or procedurally generated, so once you clear them you already know the solutions. It's a shame, and a good thing the developers have already released a roadmap for future content.

I decided to start Make It Rain: The Love of Money this week on Wednesday to continue my streak after grinding all night in Spellbreak and finding myself feeling under the weather… and it almost cost me my streak! Well, that's not completely true, as the achievements did register with the Xbox servers at some point, but when I woke up Thursday morning there were no achievements in sight. I FREAKED out. Who doesn't love a good panic attack in the morning? But soon the TA scanners finally picked them up and my streak was saved. The game itself is simplicity: you swipe a stack of currency to throw singles into the air. That's it. You can upgrade things like how much money you're bringing in per second and how much each swipe gets you, but it's all very simple. I'm not sure at what rate I'll get this done, but I left it running throughout the week on my touchscreen laptop that I use for these old tablet games, swiping a bit when I came by and upgrading when I could. No rush.

After nearly losing my streak, I decided to start a game quick to use for my streak in emergencies: Minecraft on Nintendo Switch! Actually I've been meaning to play this for some time since it's the final version of modern Minecraft that I have access to. I'll likely just jump into an achievement map and get all the achievements in short order.

Since I already had my tablet-laptop on that I use for Windows 8 games, I jumped into Hitchhiker quick to make some progress. I only got a single achievement real quick then fell off it again. I wanna play (and stream) this soon!

Was still mostly focused on Spellbreak this week, grinding all the experience I could every night. It became harder and harder to put down as I got closer and closer to the final goal. There's really nothing much I did differently from last week, jumping into matches and trying to survive as long as I could. Far more often than I expected, I'd be on the winning team for the match, garnering even more experience. And then on Thursday I finally reached my final couple matches and I was done! I had saved my favorite two gauntlets for last (Toxic and Fire) so my final matches were pretty fun. I'm glad I got around to this before it was gone forever!
